Max Sinoway Summer League Play Comes to an End.

Max Sinoway 12u District All-Stars:

Final Game: Max Sinoway - 0 vs. Milford - 2

This group of players and coaches have put together a great series of post-season runs over the last three years, only losing three games in District 4 All-Star division play during their time on the field.  The teams, coached by Jon Howard, Bruce Pannone and Joe Tarasuk (with the addition of pitching coach Matt Stevens(12u)) were highly competitive each summer season amongst the other teams in our district.  The coaches helped guide the players through their growth in the game of baseball by teaching the skills necessary to compete at a higher level of play and increasing the players' game sense from the coaches' experiences on the field.

The players of these teams came back each season, ready for more baseball.  Most of them starting in the middle of winter with indoor practices and using the spring season to play on two Max Sinoway teams (local league and travel league) to refine their skills.  By the time district league games started up, they were ready to give their best effort towards winning each game.

Thank you to the coaches, players and parents that were a part of these three teams, you helped create positive memories for us to look back on for many years to come.

Max Sinoway 12u Seabreeze:

Final Game:
Max Sinoway - 7 vs. Annex - 9

A well balanced team that started playing with greater intensity in the second half of the season fell short to Annex this week in the quarterfinal game.  The team coached by Jeff Ford, found its offense towards the end of the run by becoming more patient at the plate and making the best of their base running situations.  In what looked like a repeat performance over Annex from previous post-season play, Max Sinoway found themselves against a team with a changed strategy, which ended in a loss.

Max Sinoway 10u Seabreeze:

Final Game:
Max Sinoway - 9 vs. Orange (Navy) - 10

This team played very well during the summer session, backed with great pitching and a good offense.  The team lead by Coach Walt Korittke ended up with a bit of a heartbreaker against Orange in their quarterfinal game when they could not hold on to the lead in the last inning.  Although this team's season was cut short, we are looking forward to what these players can do in future games as their skill levels increase.

Thank you again to all of our coaches, players, parents and community members that helped out during both seasons.  We are very appreciative of the support and will see you in the fall or next spring!
